Scottish Orthodontic Conference

Aims The conference is designed to provide an update on the COVID 19 pandemic and its impact on the orthodontic profession, as well as to examine other contemporary topics related to orthodontics. The conference is aimed at the whole orthodontic team working in both primary and secondary care. It will be presented as a live digital event with online presentations and lectures including ample opportunity for questions and answer sessions. 

Learning Outcomes 
  1. Delegates will be aware of the impact of COVID 19 on the orthodontic profession 
  2. Have an overview of the impact the pandemic has had on the remobilisation of the orthodontic service both in primary and secondary care 
  3. Participants will be updated on the development of SDCEP guidelines and BOS guidelines developed during the pandemic 
  4. Be aware of the recent and ongoing changes required to return to clinical orthodontics in the COVID era 
  5. Gain knowledge of new clerical and clinical techniques to help practices during COVID restrictions

Practitioner Health is a free, confidential NHS service for doctors and dentists across England with mental illness and addiction problems, who are working in clinical practice or who are looking at returning to practice. The service can help with issues relating to a mental health concern, including stress or depression or an addiction problem, in particular where these might affect work. The service is provided by health professionals specialising in mental health support to doctors and is available in various locations across England
