The Professional Development Directorate will have overall responsibility for:
- The work of the Conference and Meetings Committee which is responsible for organising the British Orthodontic Conference, and any other meeting held by the Society.
- The Chair is also responsible for the optimal coordination of all special interest meetings such as those currently proposed by or run by the Groups of the Society.
- The Chair will be the chair of the Conference and Meetings Committee.
